Who are we?

Quality

The Quality Management System at our plants in Gualeguaychú, in the province of Entre Ríos, and Lacarra, in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, has been in compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001 since 1996, renewing our commitment to the quality of our products every three years, in accordance with the latest version of the standard.

The scope of our production process includes:

– Forging, stamping, and machining of flanges and steel parts for industry in general.

– Manufacture and sale of flanges and accessories for high-pressure and industrial pipes.

– Design, manufacture, and sale of components for high-pressure and industrial equipment.

Starting in 2022, we will align our quick-release cap manufacturing process with the requirements of ASME BPVC Section VIII Division 1, achieving certification with the international body.

We have a quality policy based on the training of our staff, the control of each of our processes, and the safety of our employees. Compliance with this Policy and its objectives is developed as part of our expectations for growth, leadership, and benefit to our customers and stakeholders.

For all these reasons, our products are delivered to customers with a Quality Certificate issued by FUTURA, which guarantees compliance with the standards required by the regulations.

DÉCADAS

THE 1970s
Futura, a family business created by brothers Oscar and Rubén Rodriguez, is founded. It
is established at 300 Grito de Asencio Street in the Pompeya neighborhood as a forged
flange machining workshop, with August 30, 1974 as its founding date and under the
name Futura Hnos. S.R.L.

THE 1980s
We achieved two major milestones: the opening of the machining plant on Route 4 and
the first forging plant, both in the town of Lomas de Zamora, Province of Buenos Aires.
The administrative and shipping areas remained in Pompeya. At the end of the 1980s,
the company began to make new investments, acquiring a new forging plant located in
Villa Albertina, also in Lomas de Zamora, Province of Buenos Aires, which ensured
greater production and faster delivery.

1990s
As a result of constant growth, at the beginning of this decade, a 7000 KGM ERIE
hammer was acquired and installed, a key element in manufacturing at that time. In
addition, the strategic relocation of the distribution center to the Federal Capital was
proposed, unifying everything in one place. The “Lacarra Plant” was inaugurated right
in front of Avellaneda Park. This plant became key as it concentrated the tasks of
machining, administration, shipping, and sales. This decision marked a great step
forward for the company. During 1995, the company began its international expansion
into South America, initially focusing on Bolivia and Peru. In terms of quality, the
process of adapting its Management System to the ISO 9000 STANDARD began, and
the goal of ISO 9001 Quality Certification was set. This was achieved in 1996, making
us the first company in the industry to achieve this level of certification at the national
level, which we have maintained to this day with the same degree of commitment,
training, and professionalism. Given the company's growth, together with the
commitment of its members, in 1998 a forging plant with greater capacity and
technology was acquired, located in the Gualeguaychú Industrial Park in the province of
Entre Ríos. With this addition, the capacity of the 16-ton and 25-ton hammers (among
the largest in Argentina) and a 4,000-ton press was increased. Futura Hnos. S.R.L. has
consolidated its position as one of the leading companies in the supply of high-quality
forged products.

2000s

The country’s macroeconomic situation at the beginning of the century was
complicated, but starting in 2002 and 2003, after the devaluation, we began to recover
our productive capacity thanks to exports to Latin America, initiating a process of
gradual growth. As 2004 progressed, with the domestic market already reactivated,
growth became sustained, consolidating it with the Gualeguaychú Forging Plant in full
operation. With market demand strengthened, we became a leading supplier of flanges
at the national level and a key player in the Oil & Gas sector. During 2008, a significant
investment was made in technology, incorporating four state-of-the-art machining
centers (CNC) into the production line.
Another contribution to infrastructure was the incorporation of large-capacity induction
furnaces, which directly benefited our customers by improving order delivery times.

DECADE OF THE 2010s

Another induction furnace and higher-capacity, faster endless cutters were added to the
production process. The welding area was also expanded and modernized. Taking
advantage of the momentum of the sustained growth of the previous decade, we began
to develop a new strategic plan, “Futura 2013-2020,” which aims to professionalize
human resources and internal and external management processes.
In 2014, the Marketing and Customer Service Department was created, which will
provide improvements for our customers and a portfolio of new products and services.
In 2014, the Marketing and Customer Service Department was created, which will
provide improvements for our customers and a portfolio of new products and services.
In 2018, the Special Products production sector was inaugurated, designed to meet the
requirements and needs of our customers. To complement this initiative, the
Engineering Department was created to provide technical support for both production
and customer advice. Thanks to our focus on the needs of the industry, we developed
the “Ring Lock” quick-release cap model, which is now commonplace in the market.

CURRENT DECADE (2020 onwards)

The year 2020 had a traumatic start with the COVID-19 pandemic, which had a strong
impact on operations. Thanks to being strategic suppliers to the Oil & Gas market, we
were able to resume work and supply the industry within a few months of the start of
the restrictions. Having successfully overcome this complex year, productive
investments for growth were resumed. In 2021, a pantograph was acquired to enhance
the concept of special products, as well as a rolling machine, which allows for the faster
production of large flanges at a lower cost. During 2022, the Erfurt 4000 press, one of
the largest in South America, was retrofitted with the support of the PRODEPRO
program. In the same year, productive investments continued with the acquisition of a
state-of-the-art CNC machine. It is worth noting that ASME certification was achieved
for the entire range of Quick Release Caps, making us the only company in South

America with this highly important certification for the industry, which highlights and
certifies the quality of our products. In anticipation of our 50th anniversary in 2023, the
business concept was expanded to include commercial and technical offices located in
Puerto Madero. There, our commercial, customer service, and engineering teams come
together to offer new solutions and create customized products and services for our
customers.

2025

At Futura, we continue to evolve to meet the needs of the industry with increasingly
comprehensive solutions.

We have incorporated a new business unit into our plant in Amancio Alcorta, CABA:
Construction Engineering, designed to provide highly complex services and
developments that enhance our manufacturing processes and the scope of our projects.

This new space allows us to:
Design and execute large-scale industrial infrastructure projects.
Integrate engineering, manufacturing, and construction into a single value chain.
Ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance with the highest international standards.
Offer our customers a strategic partner that accompanies them from the initial idea to
implementation.
